A visit to Galway isn’t complete without a visit to McDonagh’s Seafood Restaurant. Ingeniously divided in two, with a fabulous takeaway fish & chip shop on one side and a traditional table service seafood restaurant on the other and to the rear of the premises in Kirwan’s Lane. Each exudes old-fashioned hospitality. The chips are among the best in Ireland - potatoes are cut fresh daily on the premises while fish is sourced fresh daily from local suppliers.

“Mc Donagh’s of Quay Street Poem” A Trip to Mc Donagh’s is one you’ll remember, We’re open from January right through to December. Our fish is the freshest and finest you’ll find, A family tradition that’s one of a kind. Mussels in wine sauce, Herring, or Hake, Lobster or Haddock, perhaps a Cod Bake? Mackerel or Crab Claws, Cod, Plaice or Trout, Sole, Shrimps or Swordfish, a bottle of stout? Dine in our Restaurant or enjoy takeaway, Fish & chips suppers served fresh all day. For children, for adults, for all O.A.P’S. Fresh fish from Mc Donagh’s always will please.”
