Martine’s, the family-run Quay Street restaurant and wine bar is celebrating its 10th birthday this month. Loved by loyal Galwegian gourmets for their down-to-earth attitude and lively bistro atmosphere, Martine’s has an equally deserved reputation for its commitment to serving the highest quality, locally sourced food, complimented by an extensive and carefully selected wine list.
Now, as the restaurant looks forward to a new decade, they have taken their commitment to food and wine a step further. “At Martine’s we are very conscientious about what we put on our plates” explains Martine, “it’s our hands-on approach to sourcing suppliers who share our philosophy that makes us great”. Their menu uses only locally sourced meat, cheese and oysters, free-range chicken, and wild seafood (excepting organic farmed salmon). In addition, their beef and lamb is now all organic, as are all salad leaves.
“It needn’ break the bank”, Martine’s is challenging the perception that organic doesnt have to mean overpriced and gimmicky.
