Artisan is one of those restaurants where you can spend an entire day enjoying the great food as well as the wonderful atmosphere. Situated overlooking the heart of Galway’s Quay Street, Artisan is highly recognisable with its simple green and white facade. The Interior is warm and cosy which reminds me of my aunties magical livingroom, where we use to eat unforgettable meals which she always finished with the most delicious of desserts... Agh, sweet memories...
The atmosphere upstairs is very intimate with a friendly welcome at the door... After this delightful first impression it’s time to eat. Artisan specialises in seafood and a local organic farmhouse products. It’s quite difficult to chose only one main course from this truly modern menu. Finally I decided to take the chowder and a tuna steak topped with a goose egg while my friend took the tomato and basil soup and a lamb burger. I am huge fan of fish and the dish satisfied me 100%. To finish we treated ourselves to the white chocolate and raspberry tart.
The food is imaginative, beautifully presented and comes totally recommended.
